***Fraud Alert***
On February 3, 2009 one of our college administrators received and e-mail from what appeared to be F&M bank. This person became suspicious because the e-mail was asking him to update his ATM card by calling a number and verifying his card number. I contacted F&M and they confirmed that the e-mail was indeed fraudulent.

Be careful in responding to any such e-mail you may receive. Never give your banking information, ATM number, or social security number out without being positive about the individual or company requesting such information. When in doubt call your local banking office or other place of business and verify with them the validity of the request first.
